I am sorry it has been some time since I have written but I have been very busy and I am growing very fast.  First of all I graduated form K9 University Last week. With completion of my Basic Obedience Degree.  Mom was so proud.  I even got a graduation bandana that I wear around to show people what a good boy I am.  My died laughing when the faculty voted me most likely to be "down with the downs" lets just say we learned that the second week and it took me to the 5th week to really figuring it out, but I still bark when I do it.  (Mom says when I bark I sound like a teenage boy going though puberty, have dog half puppy.

I am also starting to really love the lake.  I love to go swimming now even though at first i was a little timid.  Now when Mom swims way out, I just wait for her to give me the signal that she can touch and then I swim out there too her and she holds me in the cool water.  I also really love floating on the raft with her.  Even thought she says we are going to have to get foam rafts because I keep poking holes in the ones we have now. (good thing she bought the 1.97 ones from wal-mart)

I am getting to be so big that when I sit mom doesn't even have to bend down very much to pet me on the head.  I am becoming a really big Mama's boy.  I sleep right next to her in bed. I would try to take up the entire bed but Mom tells me if I want all the space to my self I have a really nice Kennel with a very nice soft bed where I can take up all the room I need, if I want to sleep with her I have to share just like my Fur Sister Steeley.

Things are going really well for me.  Oh my new favorite thing is to sleep in Coales water dish when I am at Nonna's visiting.  Coal has a huge water dish that is just big enough for me to cool off in and hang my head out for nice cool nap.  Mom says that I am so strange, and she says thats what makes me such a little blessing, I don't think she would know what to do with out me. 

Well I have to run, I think I need to pester Steely, I think she just stole her chewy back.

I went to the Lake!

I have been a busy boy! I went to the lake for the first time as you can see from my new pictures! it was so much fun! Mom says she cannot believe how huge I am getting.

The Lake was so much fun. I got really scared a couple of times like when I was on the dock and doing that thing I do when I don't want people to touch me and I fell off. I went all the way under. I came back up paddling hard and Mom grabbed right up! I have never been so happy for her to pick me up! So now I am slowly trying to start liking the water but I am not yet a fan. Mom says I will get over that because I am a Marler and all Marlers like water. I took a moment to remind her that my sister Steeley is a Marler and she does not like water. I had so much fun and got really tired I napped for about 2 hours in the shade where my mom drives. She let me sit by her while I was getting my lake legs. She told me in no time I would riding the waverunner with her.

I still only shake on command part of the time but we are going to go to K9 university and I will do better with all of the tricks my Mom is trying to teach me.

Tomorrow I get to go with Mom on a rescue with the Tulsa Boxer Rescue. Ms. Amy said that Mom should bring me with her if she wanted to so Mom is going to take just me. I am really excited Mom believes that you should always pay it forward and today when she saw that there were a bunch of Boxers like me that were going to be surrendered tomorrow she asked how we can help, so we are going to take some puppies to a new temporary home. They are actually dogs but i think that all dogs should be called puppies.

I shook for the first time by myself yesterday!

As I told you yesterday I didn't really understand why I had to shake! But yesterday I did it all by myself! My Mom was so excited and I got lots of "your good boy" in that funny voice she does and my favorite liver treats. I thought that I would give you and update! Mom says that she is Really proud of me!

Busy Little Boy

I have been a very busy boy!

1. I am growing like a little weed and am doing much better at my potty training. Which Mom is getting very excited about, she says I am one of the hardest puppies to potty train in the whole world but I am worth all of the clean up because I am soooo Sweet. (I totally have her fooled! He he he)

2. I did my first parade ever last weekend in Lawton for Jim Roth in the Armed Forces Parade! It was lots of fun, everyone wanted to pet me, one lady even asked my Mom if she could have me. Mom politely said no, but secretly I think that Mom really wanted to say "Have you lost your damn mind?" That's what I would have said, but they don't understand puppy and I was getting a good belly rub and probably would have gotten into trouble for saying damn so I just laid their and looked cute. I am really good at looking cute, my Gammy says I am so ugly I am cute and Mom tells her that grandparents rights are not mandatory when it comes to dogs so she better realize her cute little grandson is cute not ugly!

3. I met my Mom's boss there other day and he says if I grow into my Paws I am going to be a very intimidating boy! Mom says she knows and she just will let people think what they want, she knows that I am just a big lover.

4. I am going to have my first trip to the lake this weekend and I am such a pimp by the way it is going to be me and four gorgeous women. Oh yeah! I am super excited because Mom says I will meet all kinds of different and unique people at the lake, I am not sure what that means but she says that it will be really good for my social skills. I have amazing social skills anyway but she says this will be a whole new environment for me to get used to and eventually really love. She said she is going to make me a little place to relax in the shade on the boat for when I get tired and need a little puppy nap! I will be sure to put up pictures next week so that you can see me and all the ladies!

5. This week Mom also found where she and I are going to go to K9 university, I am going to go through their puppy foundation program and then their obedience training and then when I am full year old I am going to go to their therapy dog program. I am super excited and Mom says I am going to do great since I already know how to sit on command and sort of shake! (I have no idea why she makes me shake, my fur sister Steeley says because it is good manners.)

Sorry it has been a while!!!

I am sorry it has been so long since I Have been on there. I have been very busy. I got to got to the dog park for the first time Saturday. I found out that I can swim (I sort of went all they way under and freaked Mom way out) she was coming in when I was coming up. It was really fun Mom and I learned that I don't like being too far away from her even if she can see me, it still kind of freaks me out when I don't know exactly where she is! We also learned that I like really big dogs with lots of hair.

Mom swears that my feet grow over night and that in a few days she is going to have to adjust my collar so that it fits. I also really enjoy sleeping in the middle of the bed and kicking Mom out of her usual spot.

I know how to sit really good now and don't even stand up anymore when Mom is giving me a treat! I am also doing much better with the potty training. This is making Mom really happy! she was thinking of buying stock in the cleaner!

I also am doing really well walking on the leash, I am just not sure why Mom only wants me to walk on her left side. I don't pull on the leash much either and Mom says that I am a good boy on my leash! That is about all I have going on but I included you a bunch of pics! Well I tried its not working I will try again tomorrow!

I love my Forever Family!

Hello everybody! I am doing very well! I can already sit on comand! Mom is very proud of me!

I got to go on my first car ride and my first trip to Petsmart where I got a brand new "jail" (crate.) It is so big that Mom has to block about a third of it off or it would be WAY to big for me.

Today I took my very first trip to Shawnee to see my Nonna and boy did I have fun, I ran and ran and Coale tried to teach me to play catch but I had more fun just boxing her ball around. My sister Steeley came too and I got to have my very first chewy just like Steeley eats, it was really really good. Coale is really protective of me because I am a little puppy and she got mad at my big sister Steeley and Mom had to have a talk with her about how we are all family. After that we all three played together all day!

Hope you like all my new pictures, my fur sister Steeley is in them too! I really love her and my new home!

I am making Progress!

Well I am officially in my forever home with my Mom and fur sister Steeley! My Mom signed the official paperwork that said that I am hers forever! I also have been making some good progress.

Yesterday when Mom came home to let me go outside at lunch I walked down the stairs all by myself. YAY me! This morning when Mom gave me my food and told me to sit she sat and was so proud of me. I also went to Jail (crate) this morning and didn’t try to escape like I usually do.

I also went on my first ride in Mom’s Car, it was so much fun although, I really want to sit with her but she says that the police will give her a ticket and that I will not be able to once I am big. I think I am already big but she tells me that I am going to get much bigger!

So it looks like I am making really good progress. Mom thinks I have been talking to my Uncle Brian because I like to play “if I’m awake, you’re awake” at about 3:00am but I didn’t play for very long and went right back to sleep! Mom says I am such a good boy!

So last night was my first night in my forever home! It was so much fun! I am King of the bed, for two reasons. 1. I am afraid to go down the stairs my mom put up for me and 2. I just really like to sit on top of all of the pillows, not to mention I really love digging under them to see if Mom left her remote or blackberry down there for me to find.

My foster Mom and Dad told my forever Mom that I slept all through the night, I proud to say that I did, until 4:30am see AM morning time equals play time! Mom says that if I could sleep just another hour and a half that would be the perfect play time. She says when I get bigger that’s what time we are going to go for a run. (I haven’t told her yet that I don’t know what a run is but she will figure it out he he)

I am being a really good boy and starting to understand that I have to go OUTSIDE. However our three’s company front door kind of scares me because it makes a squeaky noise. Mom can you get some WD40 for that thing?

I also am starting to learn to sit when I get my food, Mom still has to walk me threw it but I am a fast learner and really smart!

I also really love my fur sister the Sadie (she is my aunty Rebecca’s Cat) she slaps me in the face and I box at her back as well as chase her around the house and she chases me back. We have lots of fun and it gives my beautiful Fur sister Steeley a break.

Steeley is my big sister (for the moment) and I really love her she is two and is named after the Pittsburg Steelers and their 5th Super bowl win. Mom has a thing for naming her fur kids (we are the only kids she has) after sports teams and people. That’s why she says my name Hogan fits me so well.
